Description

A dead man in a suspiciously clean car has Gloucestershire-based DI Keith Tyrell unraveling an intriguing mystery, but just as he gets his first real break, the case is passed onto a central squad. Then Tyrell is asked to review evidence used in a five-year-old conviction of a child murderer. Hindered by resentful colleagues and an interfering civilian, the DI finds himself sidelined yet again. The still aggrieved Tyrell is now given a rural posting in a Cotswold village he knows well, at the request of the American embassy.
